Sharing some art...

Hi there. I have a couple pictures of art to share with you, oh and one of our sweet little Luke. He's our seven year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We have two dogs and I have learned so much from each one. Luke is so kind, loving and forgiving. He's like a little child when he's hurt or not feeling well he will come looking for me and follow me around until I sit with him. He can also tell time, he knows when it's four o'clock for dinner. He will come over to where I am and tap my arm and look up at me and his eyes says, it's time for dinner momma. hahah!  I call him my adventurous boy because when he's outside alone without our Golden Retriever he will explore the backyard as if he's on a nature walk. He will run around and amuse himself. He's so cute. My son took this picture of him last night.

It's been quite a productive month with getting art together for the show. This coming month I will also be working with my husband on making some display stands and then painting and staining them. I am looking forward to that so I can start seeing this come into fruition. I've gotten stressed more than I would like and I have to keep reminding myself that the Lord opened this door for me and He will guide me through.

I am also working on some primitive salt dough ornaments for a friend. I used to make them about four years ago and she contacted me a couple weeks ago asking if I had gotten back into making them and I told her I hadn't but I wouldn't mind making them for her. She has a lot of craft shows coming up and uses them in her prim fixin's potpourri. That's been a lot of fun.

I hope you're doing well. :o) Have a great day!

About time...

Hi there, guess what? I have some art to share with you! About time, huh? Thank you to all of you that have emailed and asked how the art is coming for the show. The show is in about six months so I keep thinking I have time but really these past two or three months have flown by. Our bookshelf is filled up with about forty pieces of wall art and I am going to get some boxes ready to start storing them in there. Not sure how to keep the ones with dimension from being crushed. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
My favorite piece to work on are the houses. It's hard to explain and put into words the reason why I love making them so much. I know for the other pieces of art, the "theme" if you'd call it that is, peace. Finding it and keeping it. The backgrounds of each piece is busy which display a lot of our lives, busy, busy, busy. Things always coming at us in so many different forms. I often ask myself am I busy doing what I want or am I being fruitful for what He wants.  So, then when the piece is almost done, I add the scripture. Which is like when we take time to be still, only then is when we find peace. His peace.
I am not sure if any of this came out right. I know at times, I have a lot of things to say but it comes out all over the place. hahah!

Anyway, I hope you're doing well! Thanks for stopping by.

Wooo, it's been a while...

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give me peace at all times and in every way.
                                          2 Thessalonians 3:16

Hi there. Gracious it's been a while! Life has gotten a hold of me and it's all been good, just busy and productive. I need to get some pictures on here for you of some of the things I've been making. It seems when I find a window of time I use it to regroup or do the laundry (which is a never ending thing). I've also found I don't spend a lot of time on the computer either. It might be because I moved my desk chair upstairs to my art desk and the chair I sit at now is a stool that my son used to sit on while doing drums. So, it's not that comfy to sit at for long periods of time.
I do want to share with you, which was a huge surprise to me. I received a Stamper's Sampler Catch Up Issue mag the other day and it said you've been published. I was like I haven't sent anything in to them for at least six months and I only sent in two things then. The one was published but what else could they have put in. I kept looking through and I didn't see anything, I said they must have made a mistake and sent me this by accident. I finally found it on p. 79. Pretty neat!
With my art I keep saying are you sure Lord and He keeps showing me yes.
I know there are going to be lots who like and lots who don't. I have to keep telling myself it's art and an expression of my heart. Some get it, some don't and that's ok.

I hope you all are doing well and have a great day! :o)

Word Art Wednesday News

Hi there, I'm still here trottin' along making art for the upcoming craft show that the Lord has opened the door to. One I never dreamed of ever going through until my love said, give it a try, send in your application and see what happens. Well a couple weeks later I receive the letter that says, we would be blessed to have you. A silent wow is all I could say for a day or two because this is huge for me and to know the Lord has opened it for me has really made me see myself and my art in a whole new way. So, with all this work I've been doing in making art one would think I'd have a million pieces by now, but I don't. I am realizing the amount of time it takes for me to make one piece and that it's perfected the way I want. Lots of time. I have also found that I can only have so much on my plate to give 100% to. So, on that note, I have handed my "baby" Word Art Wednesday over to  Karen Letchworth she was on my Design Team and loves the Lord. My hope for Word Art is that it reaches the lost and brings them to the Lord through His word in their art. I am still behind the scenes there at times but all in all it's her new adventure. Do take a minute to stop by Word Art Wednesday and welcome her on this new journey.

Have a great day!

Scripture for the day

“He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.” Ephesians 1:7 NLT

Have a great day!

Word Art Wednesday

Hi there, I am still busy but productive over here making art, cleaning, etc.
With summer here, I don't think it ever left but anyway, the dogs are shedding a lot and I am not fond of dog hair all over everything and our son has been riding his dirt bike in the backyard which isn't that big of a backyard and it brings in a lot of dirt and I am not fond of dirt everywhere either. Seems like I clean it and turn around, there's another pile. hahaha!
Anyway, here's my art for my Word Art Wednesday challenge and our sponsor for this week is Shelly's Images. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit with me. Have a great day!
